What We Like
Furbish Studio, conceived by owner Jamie Meares, is an extension of her popular lifestyle blog I Suwannee. First opened in 2009 in a charming light filled shop in Raleigh, North Carolina, Furbish Studio quickly gained acclaim in the media and throughout the blogosphere and at the insistence of design-lovers worldwide expanded to include online shopping and began creating an eponymous line of home accessories. In 2011, Furbish unveiled its new 3,000 square foot flagship retail space and design studio in a downtown warehouse and soon became a mecca for design-lovers and trendsetters across the country.
The flagship is located in a turn-of-the-century warehouse in downtown Raleigh. Open to the public, Furbish offers a curated collection of fabulous finds for the home, including unique pieces of furniture, both old and new, inspired lighting, and modern artwork. The store is stocked with textiles in vibrant patterns and bold combinations, including bedding, pillows, rugs and designer fabrics. Coveted accessories and thoughtful vignettes inspire visitors to decorate their homes with easygoing flair. An eclectic range of gifts, jewelry and clothing fill the store, along with custom dog beds, lust-worthy coffee table books and pieces from Jonathan Adler, Roberta Freymann, Dana Gibson, Bungalow 5, and Robert Abbey.
Furbish's interior design service offers clients an opportunity to incorporate Furbish's signature bright bold eclectic style into their lives, with services ranging from consultations to fully designed living spaces.

JAMIE MEARES
Owner
With a distinct eye and eclectic personality, Jamie's style is best described as bold, witty, southern and full of color. She started the popular design blog I Suwannee in 2007 and quickly gained thousands of followers who shared her love of fantastic interiors, Beyonce music videos, curated bookcases, and delicious guacamole. A hobby became a dream when she opened the doors to Furbish Studio in 2009. When Jamie isn't sprinkling pink glitter on scruffy dogs, she enjoys karate chopping pillows, weekends at the coast, clean sheets and asking inappropriate questions.
